As most of us know our economy as well as our planet is suffering and has hit a huge decline. In response to this crisis a $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was recently passed and intended to set in motion the United States Economy and lay a foundation for long- term economic growth and stability.

A large portion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding will flow by an established formula to states and localities or to existing federal programs. Much of this money goes to investment in our Green Energy Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency and Sustainability programs and improvements, this is called The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG).

Did you know that your jurisdiction is due an amount per the EECBG?

But in order to receive these funds your jurisdiction must apply by the June 25, 2009 deadline. The application process can be long and complicated, which includes; various forms and applications, budget information and spreadsheets for transparency purposes, a submission of a comprehensive Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (EECS), along with other forms and documents.

We can aid in assembling the application and posess the technical expertise to complete the package by:

1- Assisting and coordinating with you the EECS (Energy Efficiency Conservation Strategy) which details your jurisdiction's plan and approach to energy conservation which is in line with the requirements of the EECBG Grant.

2- Providing you information on otherwise undiscovered Florida Grant and Incentive Programs from other agencies that would increase your allotment as established by this EECBG Grant.

3- Reviewing your existing CIP in order to explore additional avenues of compliance for submission.

The Federal EECBG states in the application summary:

“The Recovery Act’s purposes are to stimulate the economy and to create and retain jobs.  The Act gives preference to activities that can be started and completed expeditiously…for activities that can be initiated no later than June 17th, 2009.”

The Federal Government has placed an urgent priority on those projects that can start quickly in order to help “jump start” the economy by providing jobs to each state, in particular to Floridians.

Do not reinvent the wheel.

Our Guarantee is…

We will obtain your piece of the Stimulus Pie…or you don’t pay us.

Remember that the deadline is June 25, 2009 for cities and counties, don’t wait for the last minute.  We anticipate high demand, so please contact us as soon as possible.  Eco-Engineering and Examinations has the expertise you need to assist you in assembling your energy conservation program and in turn, the application procees.
